Technical Support Options

Fast and reliable technical support is vital in today’s market.  EDAC Solutions offers a range of technical support services from single workstations to complete networks. 

Single Workstations
Support for single workstation is covered by HealthChecks and conducted bi-monthly under your instruction.  Simple diagnostic tests are performed to ensure your computer is running at its maximum efficiency.  A 4-hour telephone response and an 8-hour turnaround cover any errors that occur with computers under this agreement for resolutions.  Site visits are not normally carried out under this option but remote support is performed.  EDAC Solutions will remotely access the machine provided the relevant software and hardware is installed.

Peer Network Systems
Peer networks are small system networks where workstations are linked together without a central server system.  Support for this type of system is covered by a 4-hour telephone response and an 8-hour turnaround for resolutions.  Site visits are only made if a resolution cannot be performed by remote access to the system.  No HealthChecks are included with this support option.

Networked Systems
Network systems can be covered by three support options. 

  • Standard Support Option
  • Premium Support Option
  • Disaster Recovery Option

Standard Support is designed to cover any number of workstations and a single server.  The server can be any type including file servers; intranet servers; application servers or email servers.  Support is governed by a 2-hour telephone response.  Remote support is invoked within 4 hours of the initial call for support and an on-site visit is made if the failure cannot be resolved.  If the failure is due to hardware, this can be purchased and fitted through us.  If the components are still covered by the initial 1st year warranty, these components will be provided and fitted free of charge.  No HealthChecks are included with this option.

Premium Support covers a wider range of equipment and a faster response time. A 2-hour response time is given and remote support is not performed. A site visit is invoked within 4 hours of the initial call.  This option also covers more than one system server and extends to other network connected devices such as printers, scanners and backup facilities.  If the failure is due to hardware, this can be purchased and fitted through us.  If the components are still covered by the initial 1st year warranty, these components will be provided and fitted free of charge.  Standard HealthChecks are performed once per quarter on any workstations or server equipment covered by this option.

Disaster Recovery is the most comprehensive cover we provide and is designed to get your business back up and running quickly in the event of a catastrophic failure on any of your computer systems.  Immediate telephone response is given with an onsite response time of 2 hours.  This option covers all of your computer equipment and an engineer will attend your site until the matter is resolved.  If the failure is due to hardware, this can be purchased and fitted through us.  If the components are still covered by the initial 1st year warranty, these components will be provided and fitted free of charge.  Comprehensive HealthChecks are performed once per month under your instruction.
