Being a trusted partner in the field we see many different views and approaches to the challenges and changes ahead but what remains constant is our commitment to our customers and their ability to deliver a first class education to our Children.
This summer has seen Warrington’s first Primary Academy and, indeed, Multi Academy Trust. Warrington Primary Academy Trust, led by Louise Smith, Executive Head Teacher and CEO of the Trust has taken Evelyn Street Primary School to great heights over the last several years and now leads the Academy Trust with Bruche Primary and Penketh Primary Schools. All three are outstanding schools in their own right and have taken the bold step into this next phase to deliver the best of all aspects of school life to Warrington Children.
EDAC Solutions is proud to be the ICT Partner of Warrington Primary Academy Trust, having managed the move from LA maintained status with the migration of ICT platforms to one single network, redesign of the email systems, data backup, SIMS and Finance packages and ongoing support to ensure the smooth transition with a future proof planned structure.
Our SIMS support partner, Pennine Education, have a wealth of experience in this field with such a team as John Armstrong, Jonathon Howells and Di Hughes managing the quality they deliver on all levels.
This is what Warrington Primary Academy Trust had to say about the service and support they have received form EDAC;
“EDAC have been extremely proactive and supportive in the transfer of our IT systems. Turnaround on queries has been swift and resolution to issues explained in non-technical language. Nothing has been too much trouble, including out of hours updates to ensure minimal loss of connectivity. As with any new and updated system there are minor snags, but these are being tracked and traced with vigour and I could not ask for a more responsive service.”
Nikki Edwards, Operations Director, Warrington Primary Academy Trust.
Joined Admin and Curriculum Network
In addition to the move to Academy, we have recently begun to introduce joined admin and curriculum networks to Schools who are not yet looking to Academy. Moving your admin network to your curriculum server can provide a large cost saving as well as increasing security and flexibility. With a joined network you no longer need a separate Support SLA from the LA as all the technology can be managed within our single contract. This allows classroom based staff to access admin documents and software including SIMS without the purchase of Sims Learning Gateway and access is controlled by your Domain based server with separate user group based controls ensuring only the relevant information and data is available to the correct staff. Printers and other resources can be pooled and shared and backup can be centralised providing a single data store backed up by either your existing backup arrangements or our own, very popular EDACSafe secure online backup. Likewise admin staff have access to all curriculum resources and documentation cutting down on paper flow and time spent sharing information.
The implementation of joining your networks is managed to minimise downtime and maximise access with a full project plan approach ensuring smooth transition. Please feel free to contact us for further information or an initial consultation meeting to discuss your ideas.
