As schools begin the phased return of pupils from week commencing 8th June, EDAC will return to our normal scheduled visits providing a routine and a focal point for ICT issues.
We will continue to operate our helpdesk service and the remote support where possible however, as more and more equipment in school is used the focus will begin to shift from staff and pupils working from home to the more traditional environment.
We have carried out our own risk assessment, a copy of which can be provided if required, and whilst it is our intention to return to visits on your normal day, we will arrive at school, carry out the jobs required and then move on to our next appointments.
It is important to reduce the risk of transmission and cross contamination as much as possible so we will maintain social distancing while carrying out work and will not remain onsite any longer than necessary to carry out the jobs required.
With the retention of the helpdesk facility at email@example.com and our ability to remote to any machine, anywhere, that has an Internet connection we will be able to maintain your systems and keep everything running for you during this period of transition.
If any schools, due to your own risk assessments or safety concerns would prefer to remain at “remote only apart from emergency” support please do let us know and we will factor this in.
